Opportunities to Volunteer
What better place to connect with the community than at The Fairlawn Neighbourhood Centre? Why not invest a few hours of your time this winter in your community? There are lots of ways you can help at the Centre!
1. Become a Welcome Desk Volunteer. If you enjoy meeting people you’ll love this job! We always need new recruits to help greet participants, answer the phone and keep the paperwork moving. We have weekly three-hour daytime, late afternoon and evening shifts. Ideal for those between jobs, recently retired or for students seeking community service hours! Why not join us this spring? We are currently looking to fill the following shifts: 4:00-6:00 on Monday afternoon, 6:30-9:30 Thursday evening, Saturday morning and for occassional shifts.
2. Program Assistant: We are looking for volunteers to assist our Creative Play instructors this spring on Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday from 9:00-11:15 a.m. You will be involved in assisting with crafts, refreshments and helping moms & tots.
3.Dining with the Stars: We are looking for some special volunteers to assist us with this event. Enjoy people, music and fun? Why not help us out and get a free ticket.
