The Fairlawn Neighbourhood Centre's success would not be realized without its Volunteers. . Whether it's our Volunteers at the Welcome Desk, on Registration nights or at our Spring Event, their investment in this neighbourhood has been amazing! Why not think about investing some of your time at the Centre.
Welcome Desk Volunteers If you enjoy meeting people, you’ll love this Volunteer position. We are looking for volunteers for Thursdays. We need a volunteer from 4:00pm to 6:30pm and 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Welcome Desk Volunteers are the receptionist for the Centre and Church welcoming members and visitors to the Church. Volunteers register people for programs, membership and answer the phone. This Volunteer position is ideal for those between jobs, recently retired, or a student seeking community service hours. Training will be provided by staff or volunteers with several years experience.
Snack/Program Assistants
We are looking for volunteers to prepare snacks and clean up for programs on Wednesday and Friday mornings. The time commitment is 2 hours once a week.
Event Volunteers
Throughout the year The Centre welcomes Volunteers to help with Community Events. On May 4 our fundraising event " Roman Our Neighbourhood" is a great opportunity to volunteer and party with your neighbours!
