Background Information on the Centre
The Fairlawn Neighbourhood Centre is a unique place - the vision of Fairlawn Avenue United Church (F.A.U.C.). Launched in 1997, this not-for-profit educational charity is financially independent from F.A.U.C. and self-funded through program and membership fees. To date, more than 25,000 people have enjoyed the programs and it is often the first place that new families visit when they move into the neighbourhood.
The Centre offers a unique variety of structured, non-denominational programming for all ages that are fee based and require advanced registration. The Centre is overseen by a Board of Directors made up of appointed F.A.U.C. members and elected representatives from the community.
